...We will be winging our way to the UK for three weeks!!!!
With any luck the lil man will behave himself and let us get some sleep on the way over and we won't have a repeat of our last overnight trip!
We've packed and shipped a load of stuff, of which some of it will be, hopefully, joining us once we're there.
Just for once I've not procrastinated and left the packing til the last minute - I actually got it done this evening leaving me free to procrastinate over the hand luggage tomorrow!
The shuttle to the airport is booked for tomorrow around 5pm, (and what a bloody ripoff that is - they require an 18% tip on top of the cost of the ride to the airport but, still, it saves paying carparking fees for three weeks) and the flight leaves around 8.45pm, landing at Heathrow about 9-ish, on Wednesday morning, depending on how long they make us bloody circle before we can land. That place is amazingly busy!!
So, with any luck, we'll get upgraded with a bassinet again though I've already decided that the lil man will not be up on that table due to his weight - he can kip on the floor, (which will probably be much more comfortable for him anyway).
Roll on Wednesday, once we're at the hotel and then Thursday, when we'll be driving down to Cornwall in my Vauxhall Zafira, (I've even promised the Hubster a turn at the wheel on the way down this time)!!
Probably won't make such good time this time, not if I have to share the driving, but he really does need the practise, (not that he's a bad driver or anything) because I want him to put in for his test asap once we're settled.
We will be doing our utmost to get connected to the internet at the new place during these coming three weeks but, no promises.
Hopefully it'll not be too long before I'm able to update again! TTFN!!!! *L*

He got an email from the UK Consulate in NY just now which he almost deleted, thinking it was spam!! Thank Gourd he didn't!
We were so excited that we scared the lil guy! Poor thing!! LOL
On a not-so-exciting-but-nevertheless-still-important-move-towards-selling-the-house note - we finally have a date for getting the carpets fitted, before we go away, thankfully! So that's one more thing done.
Now, just gotta get rid of everything in the house - I'm starting to think that a garage sale is the way to go!
